The liner Normandie wirelessed that she passed Bishop Rock, Scilly Isles, two minutes before midnight, Greenwich mean time, having crossed from Ambrose lightship in 4 days 3 hours 28 seconds, with an average of 30.31 knots, beating the record of the Bremen as well as her own outward record.
