TE TUA NOTES
(From Our Correspondent.) The Tewaewae School Committee held their fortnightly “Flag 500” in the school on Monday evening. Very stormy weather conditions were responsible, for slightly decreased attendance. The table - gaining most flags for the evening comprised Misses Howell and Griffin and Mr Finnerty. All local basketball matches were postponed on Saturday owing to heavy rain. . # All extreme wintry conditions are being experienced in the district Snow, sleet, hail and thunder vie with each other for pride of place. Mr- G. F. Horrell is on a business trip to Dunedin. Mr Eric Horrell, Wendon Valley, is the guest of Mrs A. L. Whyte. Miss Janet Thomason, Invercargill, is the guest of Mrs W. S. Horrell.
