GORE HIGH SCHOOL
BOARD OF GOVERNORS. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Gore High School Board was held yesterday afternoon, Mr E. C. Smith being re-elected chairman. The following members attended:—S. Rice, J. Clark, R. L. Byars. Henry Smith, Hugh Smith, A. H. W. Aitken. A motion was carried that the old committees be reappointed until the new members had been elected by the Government. The ordinary meeting of the board was then held. The report of the rector stated that the school had resumed for the winter term on May 27. The number on the roll now stood at 123 boys and 114 girls, the total being 237. The evening technical classes had commenced and there is a satisfactory enrolment of students. The number of boarders at the hostel now stood at 15, there being eight girls and seven boys.
