PARAGUAY AND BOLIVIA GOOD PROSPECTS OF PEACE EFFECT OF MEDIATION (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Buenos Aires, June 9. Armistice terms for the war between Paraguay and Bolivia over the Gran Chaco were initialled to-day by the representatives of the two countries concerned after mediation by five South American countries. The respective countries have to approve of the terms. Hostilities have been responsible for 160,000 casualties. The agreement provides for direct peace negotiations between the belligerents. If the negotiations are not successful the dispute will be referred to a world court of arbitration.
