DRASTIC ACTION THREATENED. TENSION IN TIENTSIN. (United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) Tokio, June 7. The War Council of Japanese military commanders at • Tientsin is preparing for drastic military action in North China. It’ is understood that Japan is sending an ultimatum to the Chinese Government, and the situation at Tientsin is tense, following a mtn-ch by Japanese troops through the Chinese area of the city. It is announced that Japan intends to “demilitarize” Tientsin and Pekin, where, it is alleged, the Chinese are directing the activities of bandits.
