MELBOURNE CITY
CELEBRATION OF CENTENARY.

Following the recent observance of Victoria’s centenary, Melbourne celebrated its centenary to-day, it being 100 years since John- Batman, remarking, “This will be the place for a village," chose the site of settlement which was to become Melbourne. The principal event to-day was a historical pageant and procession the most spectacular ever seen in Melbourne.
