AIR FORCE BAND
MACE FROM AUSTRALIA.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.10 p.m.) Sydney, June 7. A mace made of Australian woods will be sent, from Australia to the newly-formed New Zealand Air Force band. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Flying Officer B. Shiel inaugurated the mace fund, and it is expected that subscriptions will be forthcoming from the majority of 27,000 ex-New Zealand service men residing here.
