Mr and Mrs W. L. Bews, Lewis street, were among those to travel to Dunedin for the races and returned ,home on Tuesday. Mrs F. C. Rowley, Thames street, who was among those who attended the races in Dunedin, returned south on Thursday. • Miss Violet Dunn, of Edendale, sailed on Thursday frftm Dunedin for Bolivia where she will join the Bolivian Indian Mission.

Mr and Mrs L. Owen, Edendale, were visitors to town last week-end and were the guests of Mrs A. Owen-John-ston, Thomson street. Miss Keddie, Kakanui, who is paying a round of visits to her friends in Invercargill is at present the guest of Mrs F. D, Morrah, Grey street.

Miss Mary Chilwell, Underwood, returned at the beginning of the t week from Bluff, where she was the guest of Miss Zona Nichol, “Morningside.”

Miss Helen Yule, who has been spending the University vacation with her parents, Dr and Mrs G. J. Yule, Spey street, returns to Dunedin to-day.

Miss M. Owen, who is a member of the nursing staff of the Dunedin Hospital, is spending her holidays with her parents Mr and Mrs L. Owen, Edendale.
