WHEAT FOR NORTH ISLAND. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 6. The Wheat Purchase Board, having satisfied itself that the milling requirements in New Zealand for the current year have been substantially filled or arranged for, and that there is a certain amount of f.a.q. wheat which can be made available as fowl food, has decided to reduce the selling price of the board’s stocks of wheat for fowl feed to 4/1 a bushel, hacks extra, f.o.b. South Island ports for shipments to the North Island. This is a reduction of 3d a bushel on the existing price and takes effect on July 5 and will operate to assist poultry farmers of the North Island. The price for South Island deliveries remains unchanged.
