THE GORE ASSOCIATION-

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.

The fortnightly meeting of the Gore Returned Soldiers’ Association was held on Tuesday evening, the president, Mr M. Green, presiding over the following members: Messrs E. J. Colomb. J. McDonald, S. Paterson, A. C. Steel, W. D. Shelton, F. M. Murray, J. Adams, A L. McDowell, T.. Rusbridge, L. Roberts, P. R. Stewart, C. M. Wil-

son and G. L. Gerken (secretary). . The hospital visiting sub-committee reported on its visits to sick members during the past fortnight. Two exsoldiers were visited at the Public Hospital each Sunday. Messrs Fyfe and Adams were appointed a visiting committee for the next term.

The secretary reported that the financial membership now stood at 204, compared with 156 last meeting night and 139 at the corresponding period last year.

Mr W. Christie, Waikaia, forwarded the sum of £2 9/3, being the balance of the Anzac D.'.y collection at that centre, to be used for hospital comforts for ex-soldiers,
