SPAR BUSH NOTES

BADMINTON CLUB. (From Our Correspondent.) At the annual meeting of the Badminton Club the following office-bear-ers were elected: President, Miss J. Borland; vice-presidents, Mesdames Cartwright and Johnston; secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Cockburn; committee members, Miss R. McCrostie, Messrs Cartwright and Johnston; club captain, Miss J. Borland; selectors, Miss Borland, Messrs Kerr and McCullough. On Friday the first dance held this year by the Badminton Club proved to be an enjoyable function. Music was supplied by Mrs Donald and J. Kerr, while Mr McCullough acted as M.C. During the evening prizes were given, the winners being: Monte Carlo, Miss Norman and Mr Ryan; spot waltz. Miss Isla Cartwright and Mr Johnston; couple first on the floor, in dance selected by the M.C., Mr J. Hunter ansi Miss Johnston.
