STOWAWAY COUPLE
HUSBAND AND WIFE. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.40 p.m.) Sydney, June 3. When the Monowai was a few hours out from Auckland a young couple informed the captain that they were stowaways. • The husband was anxious to get to Australia to obtain employment. The husband, with the aid of acquaintances aboard, managed to pay his wife’s fare. Passengers subscribed the husband’s and their trouble for the time being is ended. The husband states he and his wife walked aboard at the last moment.
