RIVERTON Miss Galloway is spending a holiday with her parents at Hedgehope. Mrs Pascoe is visiting friends in Christchurch. Miss Boldero spent the Easter holidays with friends at Dunedin. Mrs Green, who has been the guest of Mr and Mrs J. F. Green (Palmerston Street), has returned to Gore. Mr and Mrs Ross and family, Invercargill, are staying with Mr and Mrs C. Gray, Havelock street. Mr and Mrs J. Allan, of Wellington, are down for the Easter races. Mrs James Moore, of Winton, is visiting her mother, Mrs W. Gunnion, South Riverton. Mr and Mrs A. Didham, Dunedin, are spending the Easter holidays at the Rocks. Mrs J. Rose has returned from Kennington. The annual Southland Methodist Bible Class camp is being held in the Riverton High School. Visitors are present from all parts of Southland. Miss Peg Foster, Invercargill, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs J. Winton. WEDDING. STRANG—FALLOW. On Wednesday, April 17, a pretty wedding was solemnized in the Thornbury Presbyterian Church, when Marjorie Ann, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Mabin Fallow, was married to Linton James, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Strang, Waimatuku. The Rev. G. P. Mitchell officiated. The bride who was given away by her father, w°re cream laoe over cream satin, with embroidered veil, and carried a bouquet of white lilies, chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. She was attended by her sisters, Misses Kathie and Isohel Fallow, and her cousin. Miss Kathie Fallow was attired in maize georgette, Misses Isobel and Katie wearing lime green georgette. Mr W. Strang acted as best man and Messrs Guthrie and Allan Strang as groomsmen. The church was artistically decorated for the occasion with lathais and marigolds, and the wedding march was played by Miss May Robertson (Riverton). A solo was sung by Miss Mona McLean. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Burnbrae,” the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs M. Fallow was attired in a navy marocain, trimmed with lace, while the bridegroom s mother (Mrs Strang) wore a dark wine shantung costume. Over eighty guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, and the health of the bride and bridegroom was duly honoured. The happy couple were the recipients of a large number of useful and costly presents. The couple left for the north on their honeymoon. The bride travelled in a brown tailored costume, brown hat, fur, shoes, gloves and bag to match. Mr and Mrs Strang will reside at Waimatuku. In the evening a dance was held, over 100 being present.
