FOREIGN LOANS
LONDON EMBARGO RELAXED.

In the House of Lords, Lord Emplemore, replying to Lord Strabolgi’s inquiry regarding steps to encourage exports, said the embargo on foreign loans in London had been relaxed from time to time and would so be relaxed in future where the maximum advantage could be obtained for British employment without throwing an undue strain on the exchanges. Though Germany and Italy charged less than Britain for guaranteeing Russian credits, they had not maintained the flow of Russian orders.
