SPANISH ROYAL JEWELS
MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Paris, January 25. Jewels worth hundreds of thousands of pounds belonging to Ex-King Alfonso’s aunt, the Infanta Eulalia, have disappeared. They were reported to have been removed from the vaults of the Royal Palace in Madrid after the revolution to the custody of the Bank of Spain, which now denies receipt of them. The Infanta declares that, as she cannot return to Spain, she is unable to attempt their recovery.
