A trawler sheltering in the harbour received a wireless call last night from the trawler Jeira, which was drifting helpless and badly damaged near LambaviKj saying: “Doubtless will soon sink. The captain’s last message sent the crew’s greetings to their “Families and Old England.” Wreckage and lifeboats from the Jeira have since been washed up. It is believed she foundered with all hands.
