UNDERWRITERS AND ATLANTIQUE (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) London, January 26. The Daily Telegraph understands that British underwriters who paid full insurance on the French liner Atlantique do not intend to exercise the right of possession of the ship. By this decision they divest themselves of heavy accrued charges, including £50,000 for the occupation of the dry dock at Cherbourg for the last two years, an inexplicably large sum for caretaking and maintenance.
