The wind moderated later in the day, however, and departure occurred at 6.5 p.m. She returned to Bluff yesterday, leaving the Island at 2.30 p.m. . ,< The motor vessel Aurora left for Stewart Island at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday with passengers. There were no shipping movements at Bluff over the weekend. The m.v. Opawa is the only vessel in port at the present time. Boats expected during the week. are the Breeze, H.M.S. Leith, Narbada, Waipiata and Waikouaiti. The Breeze is expected to reach port from Wellington to-day. The Narbada, which is bringing cargo from Calcutta and other Eastern ports, was due at Dunedin yesterday from Timaru. After discharging at Dunedin she sails for Bluff, and is due at the southern port on Wednesday., , .. ... ......

The Canadian Scottish, en route from Halifax, is now due at Auckland on February 13, and at Wellington on February 18. She completes • discharging and loading at Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff, being due at the last-mentioned port about February 22. The Union Company advises that the Waikawa was expected at Auckland from the Pacific Coast on Saturday morning. She is scheduled to leave to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rangitlki, outward bound from London, sailed from Kingston on Thursday. .She is due at Wellington on February 1-1. Equipment for showing has recently been supplied -to -both the mail steamers running to San Francisco, the Maunganui and Makura., Talkies had already been installed in the Vancouver mall steamers and the Monowai and Marama in the trans-Tasman service, and provide one of the most popular forms of entertainment on the vessels.
