The Daily Telegraph says that the Royal College of Surgeons is engaged seeking the cause and remedy of shock which causes so many deaths following road, factory and qth er . accidents, though actual bodily injuries are not necessarily fatal. The College is testing lumbar injections, which by advancing pie series of injections, make the patient temporarily dead to the neck, leaving the brain untouched. The theory is tfiat the treatment will enable the patient to tide over the first three days in which there is a tendency to collapse. The results of experiments are already encouraging.
