RAIN PREVENTS PLAY. On Saturday the promise of the morning was not fulfilled, sunshine giving place to rain early in the afternoon. The Town team had only commenced the match against Western District at Riverton when the courts were flooded. After players had waited two hours in the hope of the weather clearing, it was decided to abandon the match.
The B grade fixtures in the city were also abandoned.
