UNIQUE TENNIS MATCH

AERO CLUBS MEET. WELLINGTON DEFEATS MARLBOROUGH. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, January 27. An inter-aero club tennis match, believed to be the first in the Dominion, was played by the Wellington and Marlborough Aero Clubs yesterday, the Wellington team winning by eight matches to two. The Wellington team flew to Blenheim, using the club’s Waco and three Moths, on Saturday. They played the match during the afternoon and attended a dance in the evening. This morning the Wellington team was entertained at a picnic down the Sounds and then returned by air, arriving at Rongotai shortly before two o’clock. -
