In a 12-round elimination contest for the British middle-weight boxing, title at Manchester, Al Burke defeated George Gordon, a Scotsman. The stopped the bout in the fourth round Burke was the more aggressive, an put Gordon down for the count of nine tn the fourth round. Gordon attempted to rally, but met with a fierce twohanded attack, which sent him to me floor again.
