WOOL SALES. WOOL SALES. rpHE INVERCARGILL STOCK 1 AGENTS’ & WOOLBROKERS’ ASSOCIATION. WOOL SEASON, 1934-35. FIRST SALE, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 1935 2 p.m. SECOND SALE, MONDAY, MARCH 4 ............ 7.30 p.m. SELLING DATES.—The above roster is subject to alterations being made in both time and date, and to fixtures being altogether withdrawn. Unless they receive express notice in writing to the contrary, brokers shall be held to have authority to sell at any such altered fixtures, notwithstanding that the grower or vendor has received no notice of such alteration. OFFERINGS.—Growers are notified that wool is received for sale subject to all lawful regulations and conditions governing the trade. Brokers are not liable for loss arising directly or indirectly (owing to restrictions of lots and catalogues) from the wool not being put up for sale at the first or any subsequent sale. LIMITATION OF LOTS.—Owing to the limitation of lots at the above sales, it will be necessary to increase number of bales per lot, necessitating increased interlotting or binning of small clips. THREE-BALE LOTS.—No three-bale lots shall be included in main catalogues. In the absence of definite instructions to the contrary at the time of consigning wool, brokers reserve the right to group three-bale lots or under, or reclass if necessary. If not grouped or reclassed such lots are liable to be held over. RECLASSED WOOL—Brokers also reserve the right to pool or bin clips where wool is sent in by growers to be reclassed. No reserve will be accepted on group or bin lots, and any grower not wishing his odd bales grouped or binned must notify his broker when forwarding his wool, in which case such bales will be offered as “Stars.” SMALL CLlPS.—Brokers reserve the right in the absence of special instructions to bin or group all small clips forwarded to them for sale. INSURANCE.—The insurance cover arranged by us on all wool, whether in store or elsewhere, pending sale or otherwise, on account of any owner is against ordinary fire risk only, and is subject to the same conditions and exemptions as are contained in fire policies, issued by members of the New Zealand Fire Underwriters’ Association. Storers, growers, or clients desiring to insure against damage resulting from earthquake, explosion, fire resulting from explosion, flood, tempest, and/or other insurance risks exempted under the fire policy must notify us in writing detailing the extra risks required, on receipt of which every effort will be made to obtain the necessary cover at the expense of owners. SPECIFICATIONS.—In all cases it is imperative that specifications and instructions be in the hands of selling brokers before wool reaches their stores. • ' ALLOCATION.—Owing to the First Sale being limited, growers are reminded that brokers are unable to reserve space for limited sales before the clip reaches stores, and can only include them in catalogues if the limit has not been reached. WOOLPACKS.—As one stripe is the recognized trade mark for 54-in. woolpacks, growers please note that irrespective of size packs bearing one stripe will be charged the 54-in. pack tare of 12 lb. WET OR DAMP WOOL—Brokers desire to draw the attention of growers to the numerous complaints received from buyers of the amount of WET and DAMP WOOL offered last season, and would ask all growers in their own interests to use the UTMOST CARE and SUPERVISION in seeing that SHEEP ARE DRY BEFORE SHEARING Growers are further requested to be particularly careful in this matter, so as to AVOID ANY POSSIBLE CLAIMS THAT MAY ARISE.
