HAUPTMANN TRIAL
STATE’S FINAL EVIDENCE. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.5 p.m.) Flemington, January 23. The State, in its final evidence in the Hauptmann trial, introduced a wood technicologist, who purported to trace the history of the wood in the ladder allegedly used, showing that attic flooring was used in its manufacture and that Hauptmann’s plane dressed that timber. Another witness testified that the ransom notes were written on the same kind of notepaper as was found in Hauptmann’s home after his arrest.
