WHITE AND BLACK BOXERS. ALBERT HALL AUTHORITIES’ ATTITUDE. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, January 22. Because of the Albert Hall authorities’ objection to a meeting of black and white boxers, the bout between George Cook and Obie Walker has been cancelled. The Daily Mail is surprised that the colour bar is still drawn, especially as Larry Gains, Al Brown, Jimmy Tarante and Len Johnson fought in London. Moreover, the Home Office did not ban Walker.
