EASTERN SOUTHLAND MATCHES. The Eastern Southland Sub-Associa-tion’s Wednesday competition matches were continued yesterday in warm weather conditions. The grounds were in good order, the outfield being very fast. GORE A BEAT GORE B. Playing on the hostel ground Gore A scored an easy victory over Gore B by a margin of 94 runs. Gore B batted first and Home, with an excellent 42, was the only batsman to reach double figures (Macara three for 39) For Gore A Macara with 78 retired, Kelly 34 retired and Currie with 38 treated the bowling with contempt and scored very easily.
