Following the finding of gold pieces on the lonely island of Monte Cristo, a search is to be made for the treasure of the hero of Dumas’ novel. The find was made near the water tower, which figures in the novel, by fishermen from Corsica, and the . story ot their discovery brought to light the fact that other visitors to the island had made similar gold finds. An expedition to hunt for the-treasure is being organized, according to a report from Leghorn, Italy.
