FIRST TRAGEDY
CRASH OF AUTOGIRO. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, January 21. The first autogiro fatality in Britain occurred when Flying Officer L. W. Oliver, who was making his first solo flight, crashed at Salisbury from 2000 feet. . The engine was buried a yard m the ground and the fuselage telescoped.
