BODY IN RIVER

MIDDLE-AGED MAN.

HANDS AND FEET BOUND.

(Per United Press Association.)

Hamilton, January .21. With his feet and hands tied with binder twine, the body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Waikato River this afternoon approximately three miles on the Hamilton side of Cambridge. A cursory glance failed to disclpse evidence of foul play, if any, on the body. This will not be disclosed until a post-mortem examination is held. The body was that of a middle-aged man. From the state of the body it is surmised that it had been immersed a fortnight. Both hands and feet were tied rather loosely. As the hands were held in front it is quite possible that the binding of the hands and feet was the handiwork of the dead man.
