SERIES OF THEFTS
A TRAIL OF CRIME. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, December 7. Frederick Owen March, who by his evidence in the Hamilton Supreme Court recently saved an innocent man from conviction on a charge of burglary, appeared in the Police Court this morning to answer four charges. The police stated that Murch had spent 12 months touring the North and South Islands and that he had left a trail of crime from the North Cape to the Bluff. The accused was convicted and discharged for the conversion and theft of two cycles. On a charge of theft of another cycle he was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment, the term to be concurrent with the two and a half years he is now serving at Auckland.
