PACIFIC DEFENCES
PLAN FOR CO-ORDINATION.
AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND.
(United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) Canberra, November 13. The Minister of External Affairs, Sir George Pearce, announced to-day that he would leave for New Zealand next Saturday to attend a three days’ conference with the Dominion Government representatives and Sir Maurice Hankey, Secretary of the Imperial Defence Committee, on an Empire plan for co-ordinating Pacific defences. The party, which is sailing on the Wanganella, includes Sir George Pearce, Lady Pearce, Sir Maurice Hankey and Lady Hankey, the Controller-General of Munitions Supply, Mr A. E. Leighton, and the Secretary of the Australian Council of Defence, Mr F. G. Shedden.
