SERIOUS ILLNESS
AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER. MR LYONS IN HOSPITAL. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 1.10 a.m.) Canberra, Nov. 13. The Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, became seriously ill to-day during a Cabinet meeting after a newsreel talkie had been made of the new composite Ministry. He was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, to-night. Mr Lyons in recent months has carried a terrific responsibility in connection with the elections, Cabinet reconstruction, the Royal visit and the Centenary festivities. He had arranged to accompany the Duke of Gloucester on his tour at the end of this week.
