TEST MATCH INCIDENT

BRADMAN CAUGHT AT WICKETS. WOOLLEY FORGOT TO APPEAL. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) London, November 12. Mr A. P. F. Chapman, speaking at a dinner at the Savoy Hotel when Sir Walter Lawrence’s trophy commemorating the fastest century of the season was presented to F. E. Woolley for 100 in 63 minutes against Northants, recalled that Woolley, when he was wicket-keeping in the final Test, caught Don Bradman, but was so pleased with himself that he forgot to appeal, which showed the broadmindedness of Woolley, who, when interviewed, said: “The incident occurred when Bradman in the first innings had scored five. Sutcliffe was about to appeal and I stopped him. Bradman subsequently told me the ball came off his glove and that he might have been out.”
