CHILLED BEEF CHAMPIONSHIP.
OUTSTANDING QUALITY.
(Per United Press Association.) Wanganui, November 7. The Diamond Jubilee Show opened in ideal weather. The entries are mostly in excess of previous years in the stock sections. Particular interest is being taken in the New Zealand chilled beef championship in which the quality is outstanding. The Women’s Institute and the Women’s Division of the Farmer’s Union have made special displays. The show is the most attractive held here for many years. To-morrow a large contingent of up-river Maoris is giving a display in a competition of hakas and poi dances.
