EXPORT OF ARMS
LICENSE NECESSARY.
(British Official Wireless.) Rugby, November 6. Answering a question in the House of Commons regarding the measures to be taken to prevent armaments being exported indiscriminately to foreign countries in the interests of moneymaking, Mr Ramsay MacDonald said the machinery of export licensing ensured effective control over the supply to foreign countries of arms from the United Kingdom, and no sale could be made by an armaments firm except to an approved destination and on the granting of export licenses by the Board of Trade.
