A French woman in London who has been struggling hard to master, the English language went to the railway lost property office to claim her h lls ' band’s pocket-case, made of calf leather and lined with pigskin. Looking up her dictionary she •described the lost property as “made of veal and lined with bacon.” The attendant handed over the article without a smile.
