Association, received the following letter from the Director—General of Agriculture in. connection with the recent win secured by the Thornbury dairy factory at the London Dairy Show: , , , v "As you are no doubt aware his Excellency the Governor-General last year presented a cup for competition by New Zealand dairy companies manufacturing cheese and exhibiting at tn. e National Dairy Show, London. At the National Dairy Show held in London last month the cup was won by the Thornbury Co-operative Dairy Factory Co., and I shall be glad to learn whether your association is willing to act as custodian of the cup for the next twelve months and exhibit it at your next Winter Show. The cup, which is a beautiful and valuable trophy, will be suitably engraved with the name of the district, the winning factory, and the Arrangements are being made to comply with the suggestion.
