INJURED WHILE SKI-ING.

(Per United Press Association.)

Christchurch, November 6.

Wilfred Burnett Myhre, aged. 27, a member of the Christchurch Ski Club, struck a rock through falling in a soft patch of snow while ski-ing in the Temple Basin at Arthur’s Pass yesterday. He suffered slight concussion, head injuries and abrasions. The greatest difficulty lay in getting the injured man from the ski-ing grounds to the station, which occupied four hours, the country being rough and mountainous. The excursion train was delayed for 80 minutes to await the arrival of the rescue party. Myhre was admitted to hospital here, his condition being satisfactory.
