Gwen Munro, winner of the Australian section of the Paramount Search for Beauty Contest, has just returned to Melbourne from Hollywood. She gave these impressions of the stars she had met: — Joan Crawford, almost haggard through dieting; quiet plain, with large freckles. Marlene Dietrich, terribly disappointing, and so reserved. Norma Shearer, quite the prettiest J person. t Margaret Sullavan, the new headliner, very plain. Bette Davis and Gary Cooper charm- [ ing. Irene Dunn, not in the least temperamental.
