NEGLIGENT DRIVING
YOUNG WOMAN KILLED. MOTORIST FINED £lOO. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, October 27. Found guilty of negligent driving, thereby causing death, an insurance agent, Edward Saville Lyall Esdaile, was fined in the Supreme Court £lOO and disqualified from holding a license for 12 months. Accused is also to pay the costs of the prosecution, amounting to £29. The case was a sequel to a fatal collision between two cars at a street intersection when a young woman, Katherine Harding, suffered a crushed head.
