DUKE OF GLOUCESTER
RETURN TO MELBOURNE. SHORT REST IN COUNTRY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.5 p.m.) Melbourne, October 28. The Duke of Gloucester returned to Melbourne on Saturday night and left immediately for a rest in the country for a few days at the home of Major Allan Currie. He thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Gippsland and the silence of the forest was a welcome change from the pomp and pageantry of Canberra. ’PILOT FLAG RETURNED LETTER OF APOLOGY. The Royal Standard pilot flag which was stolen from Prince Henry’s car on Friday, has been returned to the police with an anonymous letter apologizing for taking it.
