BANDITS’ CAPTIVES
NO TRACE OF MISSIONARIES. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.15 p.m.) Shanghai, October 11. The China Inland Mission reports no trace of the three kidnapped missionaries, one of whom, Mr A. Hayman, is a native of Auckland. The bandits with the captives were last seen making towards Szechwan. Mr Hayman has been engaged in mission activities since 1913. He was in charge of the mission in Kweiyang and returned to China after a long leave in New Zealand two years ago.
