ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
INQUEST ADJOURNED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, July 17. The inquest was opened to-day and adjourned into the death of Mrs May Sproule Gantley, aged 28, a cook employed at the Grosvenor Hotel, who was killed in a motor collision in Colombo street last evening. She was thrown out of the cab of a motor truck when it struck a closed car and was fatally injured. -The car was driven by Francis Stokes Boarn, of Auckland, and the truck by John Valmai Windleborn. INJURY PROVES FATAL. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, July 17. The death occurred yesterday in the Auckland Hospital of Mrs Elizabeth Perry, aged 74, of Mauku, who was admitted on May 29 suffering from a broken thigh received in a fall at her home.
