FEDERAL SENATE
JOINT ANTI-LABOUR TEAM. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, July 17. The Central Executive of the United Australian Party has agreed to the inclusion of Messrs Macartney and Abbott, of the United Country Party, in the joint Senate team with Messrs Dein and Courtenay.
A previous message stated: Messrs A. K. Dein, M.P., and L. T. Courtenay, M.L.C., and J. D. G. Arkins have been selected as the United Australia Party s candidates in New South Wales for the Senate. Official endorsement of Mr Arkins is withheld pending consideration of the proposal to co-operate with the United Country Party. In the event of the proposal being adopted Mr Arkins, it is stated, will withdraw from the contest.
