WALLACE HOSPITAL
MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD.
(From Our Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Wallace Hospital Board, held at Riverton on Thursday, was attended by Mr F. J. Linscott (chairman), Miss Hunt, Messrs J. G. Johnston, G. Charlton, J. H. Smith, W. B. Hopcroft and F. J. Dyer. Staff Nurse Quilter wrote resigning her position at the hospital. The resignation was accepted and Miss Effie Ronald, Thombury, was appointed to the vacancy. Other Business. The following donations were thankfully received: Flowers from Mrs Cormack, Mrs J. Borland (The Rocks), Presbyterian Church, and Mrs Nesbit; tray cloths from Mrs Hamilton; magazines from Mrs Helm and books from Miss Galloway. The medical superintendent (Dr J. W. Bridgman) reported as follows: Patients remaining in hospital from previous month—l 9 males, 10 females; admitted during the month—l 4 males, 29 females; total treated—34 males, 47 females; discharged—lB males, 27 females; deaths—one female; patients remaining in the institution—l 4 males, 18 females, total 32; operations—Major 11, minor 23; X-ray—ln-patients 12, out-patients 2.
