Sir Gerald Du Manner’s Biography. Miss Daphne de Maurier has decided to write a biography of her father, Sir Gerald de Maurier. It will be a single volume of about 90,000 words, which she hopes to complete by the end of the year, says the News Chronicle. She and her father were very close friends and the book will be much more than a record of theatrical achievement interwoven with “good stories.” Miss du Maurier has written three novels—the last published a year ago. She married Major F. A. M. Browning in 1932. They have one daughter.
