SUMMER TIME MEDAL AWARDED. SCIENTIST’S THANKS. (Per United Press Association.) ■Wellington, April 11. A letter has been received by Mr Aston, president of the New Zealand Royal Society, from Lord Rutherford indicating his glad acceptance of the award of the first Summer Time medal and prize. In a footnote he recalls that the New Zealand Institute published his first research into the magnetization of iron by high frequency discharges in 1894, He says: “Please convey to the members of your Royal Society my sincere and grateful thanks for this signal honour to an old New Zealander.”
