BANDITS AT BAY
COURAGEOUS SIKH GIRL. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) Calcutta, April 11. A 17-year-old Sikh girl, Harram Kwar, of a village in Ferozpores though unarmed, kept at bay four armed bandits who attacked the house while her father and brother were working in nearby fields. The brother on arriving killed two. The girl detained one, though she was badly wounded. The fourth escaped. The girl’s captive fatally stabbed her father.
