OFFER OF KINGSHIP
AN ENGLISH MOSLEM. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) Calcutta, April 11. Dr. Khalid Sheldrake, an Englishman who has been a Moslem since 1903, recently visited Sinkiang, near the Russian border. He and his wife have been invited to become King and Queen of Sinkiang whence Chinese were driven by the Turki Government. The province has been renamed Islamestan. Dr. Sheldrake is at present at Hyderabad more interested in securing converts to Islam. He has not decided whether to accept the offer of the kingship.
