SALVATION ARMY BAND

PROGRAMME AT THE PALACE. London, March 28. The Salvation Army Band from Chalk Farm (London), one of the bestknown civilian brass bands in England, played by Royal Command at Buckingham Palace to-day. The band was stationed in the coui’tyard, outside the lunch-room, and played while the King and Queen were at lunch. Afterwards the King and the Queen stood at the open window and listened to a musical programme, which included several of their favourite pieces. At the conclusion, the King congratulated the conductor.
